A guide of the German Environment Agency (UBA) supports public administrations being a role model of climate protection. To this end, it presents nine stages on the path to greenhouse gas neutral administration. For each stage, it describes the steps and challenges and provides practical recommendations for all relevant issues. Furthermore, the guide contains methodological, organizational and practical information as well as best practice examples and checklists. Der Leitfaden beschreibt praxisnah die Anforderungen an ein systematisches, transparentes und glaubwürdiges Klimamanagement in Unternehmen. Anhand von neun Etappen stellt er die erforderlichen Aufgaben und Schritte dar, mit denen Unternehmen ihre Treibhausgasemissionen und Klimarisiken ermitteln, steuern, überprüfen, kommunizieren und weiterentwickeln können. Vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen rechtlichen und wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen in der EU und in Deutschland baut der Leitfaden auf etablierten internationalen Standards auf. Mit vielen Praxishinweisen und Best-Practice-Beispielen stellt der Leitfaden eine anschauliche und praktisch umsetzbare Hilfestellung auch für kleine und mittlere Unternehmen dar.
