dc.description.abstractDie europäische Chemikalienwirtschaft ist zentral für Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft. Chemikalien tragen entlang des Lebenszyklus zu Umweltbelastungen, Biodiversitätsverlust, Gesundheitsrisiken bei. Angesichts der Krise der europäischen Chemieindustrie skizziert das Umweltbundesamt eine Vision für eine treibhausgasneutrale, fossilfreie, zirkuläre Chemikalienwirtschaft innerhalb planetarer Grenzen. Pfade sind Defossilisierung, Ressourcen-, Energieeffizienz, Kreislaufwirtschaft, sichere Chemikalien, sozial gerechter Umbau, Innovation. Grundlegendes Neu-Denken soll Mensch und Umwelt schützen, Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Wohlstand sichern. Das Papier dient als Impuls für die „Spotlights 2026“-Konferenz.de
