| dc.description.abstract | The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged traditional multilateral cooperation mechanisms due to travel restrictions and virtual meeting fatigue. However, the pandemic has not stopped the need for such cooperation. The Canada - Germany Cities and Climate Change Research Brief lays a strong foundation for mid-and long-term multilateral cooperation between Germany and Canada on the theme of cities and climate change. Cities in both countries have a long history of action on climate change, yet there is little mutual awareness of the unique climate change policy and programming between the respective countries, or the opportunities multilateral cooperation might present.
