The implementation of requirements to assess emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from construction products into indoor air under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) has been under discussion since 2010. The necessary tools are now ready for use: The test method EN 16516 and the EU-LCI list (LCI: lowest concentration of interest) with harmonized reference values for the health impacts of VOC. This paper presents results from a conference organized by UBA in April 2021 on a harmonized communication of VOC emissions from construction products. It includes a specific proposal for VOC classes to assess emissions and communicate the emission performance of construction products for implementation. © The Authors
