    Urban Mining
(2017) Bolland, Til; Keßler, Hermann; Kosmol, Jan; Lehmann, Christian; Müller, Felix; Deutschland. Umweltbundesamt.
The study shows that it is possible to transform Germany to both greenhouse gas neutral and resource efficient. One side of the balance is greenhouse gas and raw material saving due to exit from fossil energy carriers and the other is the increased raw material use for the construction of the renewable energy system. In the “GreenEe” scenario it is possible to reduce the GHG emissions in 2050 by 95 % compared to 1990 and the raw material consumption (RMC) by almost 60 % compared to 2010. The study shows also that related ambitious climate and resource efficiency policies helps to achieve both goals. Considering both policy field in a systemic way, should be further discussed and implemented in future politics.

    Urban mining
(Umweltbundesamt, 2019) Bolland, Til; Keßler, Hermann; Kosmol, Jan; Lehmann, Christian; Müller, Felix; Deutschland. Umweltbundesamt; Wurbs, Johanna; Thalheim, Sabine; Heidler, Doreen; Kohlmeyer, Regina; Manstein, Christopher; Engelmann, Bernd
Urban Mining has been on everyone's lips for some years, being the quasi-mining of raw materials in urban areas both in cities and communities. Urban Mining requires more and better guidelines and a far-sighted strategy for material flow management. A management concept including a prospective knowledge and decision base for the secondary raw material industry and for local governments is needed. Through this brochure, the German Environment Agency wishes to convey a common understanding of Urban Mining and to encourage its steady progress by using this strategic approach. 9 principles for a circular economy
(Umweltbundesamt, 2020) Dorer, Conrad; Kohlmeyer, Regina; Krüger, Franziska; Kosmol, Jan; Krause, Susann; Müller, Felix; Röhreich, Mareike; Deutschland. Umweltbundesamt; Fabian, Matthias; Kummer, Sina; Bischoff, Björn; Ebert, Thomas; Keßler, Hermann; Hagenah, Evelyn; Rechenberg, Bettina
Sustainable development is hardly imaginable without a consistent circular economy. However, turning away from a predominantly linear economy requires many political, economic and social decisions. The German Environment Agency has now developed principles for politics, business and society, which systematically outline the objectives, scope, maxims for action, requirements and success factors of a circular economy. The nine principles are intended to help develop a common understanding of the circular economy and create a strategic orientation framework for its implementation. Quelle: Umweltbundesamt
