Veröffentlichung Air Quality 2019(Umweltbundesamt, 2020) Dauert, Ute; Feigenspan, Stefan; Kessinger, Susan; Minkos, Andrea; Mues, Andrea C.; Deutschland. UmweltbundesamtThis evaluation of air quality in Germany in the year 2019 is based on preliminary data which has not yet been conclusively audited from the air monitoring networks of the federal states and the German Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt), valid on January 2020. Due to the comprehensive quality assurance within the monitoring networks, the final data will only be available in mid-2020. The currently available data allows for a general assessment of the past year. The following pollutants were subject to consideration: particulate matter (PM10and PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and ozone (O3), since, the limit and target values/WHO recommendations for the protection of human health are still exceeded for such substances. UmweltbundesamtThe publication describes the preliminary status of German air quality in 2020. Regarding PM (particulate matter) the reduction of pollution has continued. Consistently to this development, there are hardly any exceedances of the EU annul limit value for nitrogen dioxide (NO2). And there was less ozone pollution than in both previous years. The second part of the reports deals with the influence of the measures to contain the Corona pandemic in Germany and Europe, as well. Therefore, assessments of the German Federal states, the German Weather Service and the European Environment Agency and the UBA have been included. Umweltbundesamt; Mues, Andrea C.This evaluation of air quality in Germany in the year 2021 is based on preliminary data which has not yet been conclusively audited from the air monitoring networks of the federal states and the UBA, valid on 31th January 2022. Due to the comprehensive quality assurance within the monitoring networks, the final data will only be available in mid-2022. The currently available data allows for a general assessment of the past year. The following pollutants were subject to consideration: particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and ozone (O3). The evaluation and assessment of the air quality takes place in terms of the limit and target values as well as the new air quality guideline (AQG) levels of the World Health Organization.
